Here We Are

[2007, two-channel video installation, 11’10, color with audio]

Using Dorothy Parker’s one act two-person play, “Here We Are,” I perform both the male and female character. The video is shot in two onetakes, which, consequently, causes the dialog within the installation (two hanging screens that face each other) to fall out-of-sync. This alludes to the characters’ own misinterpretation within the text.
