Some People Are Without Guitar

Some People Are Without Guitar is a video-performance in the style of 1970’s spoken word poetry. The audio incorporates the sound of the US Emergency Broadcast System that since changed to a new sound in 1997. The imagery relates to film reel countdowns and stills from old television Emergency Alert frames. This piece has screened at Galerie White Projects (Paris) and in the Signify, Sanctify, Believe exhibition at Public Fiction in Los Angeles. The song-poem was performed live simultaneously in New York City and Los Angeles, with drummer Corey Fogel, for the LA Road Concert in September 2011. Documentation below.
